Meet Your Speaker

Hi! I’m Clarice Grote,

MS, OTR/L, occupational therapist, Medicare specialist, health policy consultant, founder and CEO of Amplify OT.

I graduated with my MS in occupational therapy from Columbia University in 2018. Since then, I’ve held several leadership positions in the field, including as Director of Practice for the Missouri OT Association, and as Advocacy and Policy Coordinator for the American Occupational Therapy Association’s (AOTA) Home and Community Health Special Interest Section. I currently serve as an ambassador for the American Occupational Therapy Political Action Committee (AOTPAC) for North Carolina.

Through my work with Amplify OT, I help OT students and practitioners demystify the ins and outs of our industry by offering in-depth information and resources on OT advocacy and Medicare policy. You can read more about Amplify’s mission, pillars and purpose here.

In addition to my professional work, I’ve given dozens of  presentations on  value-based care and CMS policy-related topics. These include guest lectures at a number of higher learning institutions, including Missouri State University and Colombia University, New York City. I’ve also presented at several professional conferences by the AOTA, and at conferences by OT state associations including: ILOTA (Illinois Occupational Therapy Association), KOTA (Kansas Occupational Therapy Association), MOTA (Missouri Occupational Therapy Association), and NCOTA (North Carolina Occupational Therapy Association).

My number one goal is to provide you with direct solutions to your pressing OT and Medicare needs and empower you to tackle whatever challenges lie ahead.

FAQs

I’d like to book Clarice for a speaking event at my school/association. How do I go about it?

Thank you for your interest! You can start by filling out this form. We do our best to meet as many requests as we can, so we’ll get back to you as soon as possible🙂

Do you charge fees for your appearances?

I typically request and honorarium for speaking work. However, I make allowances for a certain amount of pro bono appearances in a year in consideration of groups or organisations working under budgetary constraints. Since amplifying OT is what matters the most, don’t let the matter of a fee hold you back. Put in all your speaker requests through our form, and we’ll let you know whether we’ll be able to accommodate your event.

How soon can you speak at an event after a request is submitted?

A minimum of two weeks notice is ideal. If your request involves travel, a longer lead time may be required, and reimbursement for travel costs is requested.

How long are your guest lectures/speaking gigs?

Generally, I speak for about an hour, but I’m  flexible with duration. Anywhere between 30 minutes and 2 hours is perfect👌

Our program or association needs ongoing support on several topics, not just one or two. Can you help us out with this?

I would love to! Aside from my live and pre-recorded webinars, you can check Amplify’s comprehensive OT and Medicare course on the Amplify OT Learning Platform. It is a dynamic virtual textbook resource used by over a dozen universities.

Check out the Amplify OT Learning Platform by visiting this link and activate our 7-day free trial to see if it is a fit for you and your program!

Don’t miss out on this opportunity!
